This is a bit of an old news for people who’ve been following Ureshii / Froth-Bite / Frostii for four years or more… When you are nervous, and need to calm yourself down, spell “pumpkin” on your palm with a magic marker, then try to swallow the hand. (Asatte no Houkou, episode 3) We have a perfect demonstration presented in this episode. Try it when you have a chance next time.

So I just figured out that Yui and Ui are two separate people. That would TOTALLY explain why Ui kept saying “Onee-chan”! At first, I’d thought that “Ui” was simply Yui’s other personality, and the visual representation of “Ui” was simply the director demonstrating the absolute contrast between the two. As such, my belief was that K-On!! was a suspenseful drama about a young teenage girl fighting bipolar disorder. I thought when Yui was out with Azunyan and Jun-chan as “Ui”, her mellowness was caused by her taking of anti-depressants. But now that I know they’re completely different people, it brings about an entirely new dimension to the show!
Anyway, our encoder has been busy since Tuesday or so, and we were like, “Why don’t you just transform your PC into a hand-held device and then encode while you’re out doing whatever it is you’re doing?” to which he responded: “That’s impossible.” How convenient for you there, Mr. Encoder-san. Look forward to a possible quick 1-2 punch of K-On!! 18 and 19.

We’re catching up so fast you could almost say…
Before anyone asks, episode 13 is a recap episode. It’s stuck in TLC because of a few new lines of narration. It’d be dumb to hold this up for that, so yeah, here it is ahead of 13.
Also, we opted to not subtitle the insert song toward the end (~16:50) for :reasons:, so here it is, for those of you who are interested:
