I don’t know about you, but I’m not getting the same kind of rush of blood from this show as I did from Higurashi. Am I missing something?
By the way, the movie they show a bit in this episode is a parody of Antarctica, an 80’s movie.

What’s the most characteristic part of this show? The hassaku oranges? No. The scythe swinging gangs, chasing after towns folks? No. The cheesy, computer-graphic-enhanced, ID4-wannabe hachiroku in burgundy? It’s getting close, but no. The fansubbing team can’t stop talking about it.
