It saddens me greatly to bring you this news, but we ultimately have had to drop Bakemonogatari. Though several people came to volunteer, in the end we just couldn’t pull it together to keep it going.
I’d like to express my personal thanks and apologies to arsmagna, TakagiChrome and Noct, who came on board to try to help salvage the project.

A lot of you have been asking about Bakemono so let me give you an update which is not much. Our lovely translator got so busy in her work she has been flying east and west for the last month or so! Most of our staff, specially typesetters, kinda lost the interest with 5 eps as backlog… one of the staff is trying hard to keep this project open until Fin comes back or find replacement for the translator and 2 typesetters who already left. In Bakemono, the key staff is the typesetter, without 3 at least, this project won’t be moving even with another tl!
If you are an translator or AFX typesetter who is interested in this show, join to help! Or else, this project is slowly dying.
We do have ep2 translated and half way typeset… but what is the point of finishing it off IF we won’t be finishing the whole show, that’s what the staff think!
Those who are experienced and willing to help out, join our IRC RECRUIT CHANNEL and talk to either Nanne or snip.
Edit1: Translator found.

This show is about monsters. It’s a story about monsters. Honest. Actually I’m not even sure what it’s about. Razor-wielding sociopath girls in the first and second episodes anyway. Okay, just one, but she’s really cute.
We will follow our main character, Araragi Koyomi (Kamiya Hiroshi, the voice of Itoshiki-sensei, Kouhei and many others), as he meets and deals with various “special” people. Will he help them? Will they eat him? Who can tell? I’m pretty sure box cutters in the mouth aren’t healthy in any case.
We’d like to thank everyone who waited very patiently for this release. We, and by we I mean us, wanted it to be the best release we could make and so it took quite some time for the sign avalanche to be done. But that’s all said and done and now it’s time for you to watch it and say “wow, that is some seriously cracked out stuff.”
