Through some unfortunate events, we lost frostii.com domain again. I’ve migrated the site to frostii.net (still with the same, trusty provider, Clear-Data). Please let me know if you find anything that’s odd about the site. For now, most of the torrent files won’t be working correctly, since they’re trying to use the tracker that’s hosted on frostii.com. All torrents released in the future should be working as normal though.
Skr edit:
We’re doing the new Lupin special, by the way, before people start asking.

Earlier this week Frostii.com went down for a bit. The site is back up, but still experiencing problems, such as the tracker being down. We’re working to fix everything but in the meantime tracker links won’t work. You’ll have to wait patiently or find our files somewhere on the vast, open seas of the Intertubes. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Edit: Tracker is back up and working. No pictures in release posts, unfortunately, so you’ll have to resort to your imagination.
Edit2: Pictures are back up and working. The tracker now isn’t working, unfortunately, so you’ll have to resort to other means.
Edit3: Holy crap pictures and tracker are working. Cross your fingers.

Just like pretty much every fansub group in the world, Frostii are looking for translators.
Currently the only dedicated translator we have is Sylf, who is looking to ease himself out of fansubbing somewhat and doesn’t want to translate any more shows that air weekly. This means that to take advantage of the mass dropping of projects (see below) and to pick up new series, we’ll need new translators.
Translators will be required to translate Japanese into English. You’d think this would be a fairly obvious statement, but some people apparently don’t realise it. We don’t need perfect native fluency in English (that’s what editors are supposedly for) but we do need something better than we’d manage with Google translate (and we don’t want it in Spanish either). We’d also prefer people who have the free time to do something like this, and aren’t going to vanish or announce they don’t want to do it any more when we’re five episodes into a series.
We don’t know what shows any new translator will be needed for, because we’ve not decided what we’re doing next season yet, and that decision is usually heavily influenced by what shows the translator wants to do anyway.
Anyone who is interested, apply in #frostii-recruits on Rizon

Ever since April, we have resisted dropping a few troubled projects. We’ve made our efforts, made attempts to save these projects, but by now, we all know it’s futile. So we are officially dropping these three projects:
- Durarara!!
- Eden of the East movies
- Ookami Kakushi
The Project List page has been updated, so check that page before you ask status about any other projects.

As some of you found out, frostii.net was unavailable for about past 10 days. But ain’t this a good news! We’re back!
For those of you who knew, thanks for sticking around with us and showing your support. And for those of you who weren’t aware, welcome back. We’re not going anywhere. We are here to stay. And in just a few minutes after this post, we will be making another release.
Cheers!

Welcome, but don’t get comfortable yet. We’re still trying to recover frostii.net domain after the domain was hijacked. I’ve only set this up as a backup, just in case the recovery doesn’t work out. The site should be mostly operational. The tracker itself is probably working, but none of the torrents have been converted to use it. If we happen to recover the .com domain, we will move back to that, and I’m going to NOT transfer all new comments between now and recovery. Unless we make a new release on this .net domain, which is likely… Stay tuned.
Update 1: I just remembered that I didn’t copy the tracker, so it won’t be working. And none of the torrents would be available too, but none of them would be working, so that’s not much of a loss.
Update 2 (May 1): Now I was told that it may take another 5 days to recover the domain. Pain in the ass.
Update 3 (May 7): As you can see, the site has been restored! Yay us! And big thanks to Arabianswan for getting everything straight.
