18 months since the very first episode of the Candy Boy showed up on Nico Nico Douga site, we’re finally coming to the conclusion* of this series.  To celebrate this occasion, it seems the production stuff seemed to cram in more footage than usual—whopping 20-minutes worth. Enjoy the last bit of this yuri-filled goodness!

*Actually, it’s been announced that there will be a DVD-only episode 8 coming on June 24th.  Stick around, and we’ll sure to bring that episode to you, along with all of the DVD-version of the whole series.

We made some large quantity of releases in past couple of days.  Some of them were fixes from the past.  Some fresh releases already had version2 to fix some stuff.  As it turns out, there are *more* stuff that are bad.  Please accept my humblest apologies for all bad releases we’ve made.  As soon as I get everything back in the order, I will list all blunders, and publish some fixed releases and patches, explanation of what the fixes were, etc.

These errors have been identified from these recent releases.

• Charady’s Daily Joke episodes 31 and 35—bad screen aspect ratio (that means they need version 3 releases) – Patch file
• Ristorante Paradiso episode 4—font attachment is missing – Patch file
• K-On! episode 6—audio is behind the video – Patch file

As you can see, we are posting the patch files for.  New torrents for all new versions are available as well.

In the future, I will personally make sure that all releases will be free of these technical errors.  This may delay each releases slightly, but I’m sure everyone would rather have trouble-free viewing experience than rush jobs.

Here’s Rispara 04, an episode where an old friend comes to visit, Nicoletta learns of the restaurant’s beginnings, and other people do stuff. “Do stuff” may be quite vague, yes, but realize that I must be purposefully vague not because I have no idea what to write, but because I must choose my words carefully to avoid spoiling you, our dear viewers. For example, I shouldn’t say that Olga is really a Viking Warrior Princess who, at night, fights evildoers in the city, leaping through the air gracefully as she chases down her archnemesis, Dgwuiag. That would be spoiling, if it were true. But it’s not, so I didn’t spoil you. But if it were true, I’d have spoiled you. So as you can see, I walk a fine line between summarizing the episode’s events and revealing the episode’s innermost secrets to those who have yet to watch it. Oh, what a life I lead!

How many of you expected me to write about my experience on a school festival?  I know I would have, if I were just a fan reading this site.  I wish I had a school festival story to write about.  But alas, I’ve never been to one.  This is one Japanese school function I missed out by leaving Japan too soon.

So, let me write about one of my experiences with performance.  I moved to United States at age of 15.  I moved to a very tiny town in Ohio, in the middle of a Mennonite and Amish community.  The school was a tiny place, having just over 40 people in the entirety of my grade.  Even with the school size, we had all kinds of musical activities.  One of those was a jazz band, which also functioned as a pep band at sports events.  That’s where I really started to like performing in front of people.  When I get a great reaction from the people listening to me, even if there are only 200+ of them, it gave me a huge, great feeling inside.  I hope Yui and the company felt just as good as I did.

Of course, it helps that I never had this.  This will make much better sense after you watch the episode…
